Artist's Comments

I love this photo for two reasons:

1. It's a side of myself I probably don't represent very well here on dA, a more intense, riskier aspect of who I am.

&

2. I love it when my hair will consent to do cool things like it does in this light. *sigh*

And yes, I photoshopped my make-up on, but honestly, it's exactly what it would have looked at if it hadn't been digital.

Thank you very much! I think at the time I was coloring my own hair and I really lucked out with how the sun was coming through the window in my bathroom. I love it when my hair is long and all fairy-tale-ed up, but I have to cut it from time to time.

You should see my sister Lila's hair. Now that girl has some awesome high- and low-lights.

Oh you look beautiful!!! Your hair was so long!

You know who you remind me of in this pic? Jean Grey from X-Men.

Me and Tonya were talking about how much we liked the color of your hair after you came in the store the other day (aka "Zombie Day" ) ... :floating:

“I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!". Then- whoosh, and I'm gone...and they'll never see anything like it ever again... and they won't be able to forget me- ever.”- Jim Morrison

Thank you for the compliment!

I WISH I could get my hair the color of JG's! The light was just really cool that day, and yeah, that's the longest I've ever had it. I'm super impatient (trust me on this one) so it's not often I can talk myself into just letting it grow. It doesn't help that Nathanael prefers it short. He's such a weirdo.

Today will be an interesting day. Yesterday was a really bad day, book-wise as I came to terms with having to cut and rewrite some things that I personally like a lot, but aren't necessarily best for the story being told. I was really freakin' pissy yesterday and spent most of my time glaring at people and generally sulking. I wasn't sure what I was going to do to fix the weak parts and I was angry that I won't have the kind of uninterrupted time I'll need in the foreseeable future.

Today, though, I have some inklings. I think I might have some idea of what I'm doing, though I need to sketch out a revisionary outline. None of the stuff I'm altering is before the last five chaptersso what you've got will stay basically the same outside of mechanical restructuring like sentence form and a word choice here and there. Ah, the joys of being a really lazy perfectionist. You'd be surprised how problematic those two thing being together is.

Ah, well. Hope you day is SIGNFICANTLY better.

Heh heh, ever considered stalking brown haired teenage girls and seducing hapless boys? *chuckles* Sorry, couldn't resist, nice pic by the way.

When faced with truth, a challenge to their lies, even the most ignorant will gain some wit and shy away.

Funny you should say that...

I was a much more selfish, show-off-ish girl when I was in college...you know, the all-women's college I attended, that was just three hours away from my long-term boyfriend's home port. Although, I don't think I had to stalk anyone, and Michael could never, never have been thought of as 'hapless'...come to think of it, if I ever dated a hapless boy he was soon divested of that characteristic.

Oh, I was an awful person! I'm so much nicer, now!

We can be friends if you want, I don't hold auditions. I'm more of an open call kind of girl. I just don't assume you want to be my friend (though, I have to say, I'm kind of the opinion that would be pretty cool)
:iconmorihana:
*laughs* I never said you were so cruel. I merely meant that you appear lovely enough in this picture to portray the evil and lovely Victoria

Oh, well, then...that girl was so definitely Victoria!
